Help us bring water to wildlife. Join NDOW and Nevada Bighorns Unlimited Reno to build a bighorn sheep guzzler. Guzzlers provide a reliable water source for wildlife in dry landscapes, and this is a hands-on way to make a real difference. This guzzler is located approximately 175 miles from Reno, NV. The build day will be April 25th.

All tools and materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring plenty of water, food or snacks, and work gloves. Dress in layers since mornings can be cold and afternoons often warm up. Wear sturdy work or hiking boots and clothes you do not mind getting dirty.

An adult must accompany minors. Lunch and dinner will be provided by Nevada Bighorns Unlimited. Final basecamp details and guzzler wayfinding information will be sent out by Nevada Bighorns Unlimited closer to the event.

The build will be a drive in build. A 4WD and high clearance vehicle is needed to access the guzzler. More details to come.

This guzzler is located approximately 114 miles from  Elko, NV. The build day will be June 27th. All volunteers are welcome to join us at basecamp from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Meals will be provided by EBU, Nevada Muleys and the Mule Deer Foundation from Friday night dinner through Sunday Morning breakfast. Saturday night EBU will host a raffle for all volunteers!

All tools and materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring plenty of water, food or snacks. We recommend to dress in layers to accommodate for temperature fluctuations throughout the day. Plan on bringing gloves, closed toed shoes/boots, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses. Access into the site will require a 4x4 vehicle or a UTV/ATV.
