Join NDOW & Elko Bighorns Unlimited (EBU) to help build a 10,000 gallon big game guzzler targeting elk, mule deer and a variety of other wildlife species in the Leach Mountains of Elko County. This guzzler is located approximately 114 miles from Elko, NV. The build day will be June 27th. All volunteers are welcome to join us at basecamp from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Meals will be provided by EBU, Nevada Muleys and the Mule Deer Foundation from Friday night dinner through Sunday Morning breakfast. Saturday night EBU and NBU will host a raffle for all volunteers!
Please plan on meeting at the camp location at 7:00 am on Saturday June 27th to fill out volunteer paperwork and attend a safety briefing. All tools and materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring plenty of water, food or snacks. We recommend to dress in layers to accommodate for temperature fluctuations throughout the day. Plan on bringing gloves, closed toed shoes/boots, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses. Access into the site will require a 4x4 vehicle or a UTV/ATV.

Directions to basecamp and build site from Elko
- From Elko, take I-80 East for approximately 74 miles
- Take exit 378 Oasis Montello, turn left
- Travel ~23.4 miles then turn left on Wilkins Montello Rd
- Travel ~7.1 miles then ARRIVE AT BASECAMP (Gamble Ranch Landing Strip)
- From basecamp, travel ~ 6.8 miles on Juniper Airport Rd, then turn right on 12 Mile Canyon Rd
- Travel ~1.4 miles then left turn
- Travel ~0.4 miles then ARRIVE AT BUILD SITE
