Experience all things Sage-grouse with NDOW and Partners! Participants will have the chance to view an active sage-grouse lek in Elko County and attend educational presentations given by NDOW biologists. Breakfast is included!
The event will be held from 5:15am - 10:00am. Participants will meet at the NDOW office in Elko and will be transported out to the lek viewing site. Participants will return back to the Elko NDOW office where they will enjoy breakfast and a presentation on Greater sage-grouse biology, given by a NDOW game biologist.
Participants 12+ are welcomed with adult supervision. Part of this event takes place outside in cold-morning conditions, in a remote location without many facilities. Part of this event also requires the ability to stand for 45 min. Please note, there will be no exceptions for additional transportation out to the lek viewing site. All participants will be required to ride the bus out to the lek viewing site.
Registration for the event opens March 2nd and closes March 25th, 2026. Every participant must register individually!
