Volunteers will assist our Native Fisheries Biologist in conducting a mark and recapture survey for Pahrump Poolfish. The recapture sessions are scheduled with a one week gap after the marking sessions. Volunteers will be on the shoreline for the duration of the survey (approximately from 9:45am to completion). Duties include recording data, pulling traps, handling live fish, and performing a fin clip under the supervision of the biologist. Wear secure, close toed shoes, sun protection, and clothes you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Dates are subject to change.
